Dogville is a movie directed by Lars von Trier, released in 2003. A beautiful fugitive, Grace, arrives in the isolated Dogville. With encouragement, the community agrees to hide her. Later the people of Dogville demand a deal in exchange for the risk of harbouring Grace.
The entire film was shot in a large, black space. Apart from some windows and props, most of the decor (streets, walls, bushes, bench & pets) is described by painting outlines and descriptions in Glaser Stencil in white paint on the set floor. The intertitles between the chapters, and the end credits are set in Trebuchet.
