Jakob Runge did not only provide the typeface, he also drew the newspaper's nameplate. Both the historic coat of arms and the blackletter lettering existed as archive images only and hence had to be reinterpreted, vectorized and brought to a contemporary appearance. To cater perfectly to various applications, three distinct versions with different levels of complexity — optical sizes — were created. See more images on his website.
