The ITC New Veljovic(R) Font Family is an update, optimization of the shapes, proportions and an enlargement of character set of ITC Veljovic which was published by Jovica Veljovic as his first work at International Typeface Corporation in 1984.
The typeface with its classic, clear and open forms appears by its sharp serifs as they would have been set in stone. Capitals exude Roman elegance and monumentality. But also subtly distributed calligraphic elements are recognizable in the upright and particularly in the italic styles.
Even though this typeface family is completely drawn in its original form in all eight sections by hand, it indicates the strong contrast to a calligraphic flair in the darker italic styles.
With a total of 30 styles ITC New Veljovic now offers a wide range of typographic options from Book to Black and is ideal for a variety of projects. In addition to normal weights the family has condensed and display versions, all with matching italic cuts. The character set includes over a thousand glyphs: Small Caps, proportional and tabular figures, Small Caps figures, fraction digits, ligatures and the support of many Eastern and Western European languages |
