Large point sizes as used for posters or headlines, have different needs than type for textsetting. Levato was designed to be used in big sizes. A strong contrast between thick and thin strokes, a small x-height, rather narrow proportions and tight spacing define Levato's character. 5 weights from light to black plus their corresponding italics, many OpenType features like small caps, ligatures, swash characters and different sets of figures allow a wide range of usage, e. g. classical book titles or playful magazine layouts. |
