| Description: | The Mantika News typeface by Jrgen Weltin, while complementing the rest of the Mantika super family, was designed specifically for setting inviting and highly legible text copy. Its narrow proportions are space economical while a large x-height and a subtle emphasis to the tops of lowercase characters provide for easy reading. Serifs are sturdy with slightly wedge shapes and characters like the two-storied a, bowl & loop g, and hooked l, help to ensure legibility at small sizes. The suite of typefaces is available with designs created for textual content and display headlines and sub heads. Mantika News fonts have a large Monotype W1G (World Glyph Set 1) character set enabling the setting of Greek, Cyrillic and over 20 Eastern and Western European Latin-based languages. Proportional figures are available, as an OpenType fonts, as an alternative to the tabular designs. |
