Our initial aim at its inception, was to make a typeface for a variety of projects and uses, we feel has been fulfilled. With its balance of realist characteristics based on classic realist typefaces such as Johnston, Gill Sans, Neuzeit and Franklin Gothic, and its ability to sit well in running text at a variety of sizes, it has proven itself to be a usable typeface for both others and ourselves.
After its release we have continued to use Apercu in our studio practice. A year later and it seemed a fitting point to look at extending its support for Central Eastern European and Cyrillic-based languages. Now with more than 530 characters per weight, Apercu Pro arrives. |
