Founded in 2004, Characters Font Foundry is an independent type foundry, designing, manufacturing and selling high quality typefaces for creative designers. Characters specializes in creating high quality custom typefaces for corporate identities and packaging.

Besides being a self-taught type designer, René Verkaart is the co-founder of Stoere Binken Design (www.stoerebinken.nl), a renowned Dutch graphic design studio based in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
